Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• ✓Break down high-level product and regulatory requirements into module-level technical specifications
• ✓Share product knowledge with junior or sub-level team members as part of onboarding and handoffs
• ✓Contribute to the overall system architecture design of medical device products
• ✓Validate the clinical aspects of products against real hospital and clinical workflow needs
• ✓Write flowcharts and pseudocode to document system logic before implementation
• ✓Produce technical manuals and user documentation for both internal teams and customers
• ✓Train customers on product usage and run product demonstrations
• ✓Run internal design validation checks against requirements and defined test cases

Who You Are

• ✓Hold a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Biomedical Engineering or Medical Electronics
• ✓Have 0 to 2 years of relevant experience, so recent graduates are welcome to apply
• ✓Understand clinical workflows and how hospital environments actually operate day to day
• ✓Know medical device safety, usability, and risk management concepts such as ISO 14971
• ✓Be familiar with regulatory standards including FDA requirements, ISO 13485, and IEC 60601
• ✓Have basic understanding of software development concepts where the product involves software components
• ✓Be comfortable creating flowcharts, pseudocode, and structured technical documentation
• ✓Have strong presentation skills and the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences

Nice-To-Haves

• ✓Exposure to healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 or DICOM
• ✓Prior experience creating user manuals or customer-facing training materials
• ✓Familiarity with design verification and validation (V&V) processes specifically
• ✓Experience with testing methodologies, test case design, or quality assurance practices
