Record to Report Ops Associate

Responsibilities

• ✓Support financial outcomes by collecting operational data and reports and conducting reconciliation analysis
• ✓Process general ledger entries, accruals, and prepayments as part of month-end close support
• ✓Perform balance sheet reconciliations and contribute to P&L analysis and reporting activities
• ✓Provide basic support on fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and variance analysis
• ✓Solve routine problems by following precedent and established team guidelines
• ✓Prepare reports and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint for internal and client use
• ✓Work within a predetermined, focused scope of work as an individual contributor on a team
• ✓Be available to work rotational shifts as required by the finance operations schedule

Who You Are

• ✓Hold a BCom, BBM, MCom, or MBA degree
• ✓Have 1 or more years of experience in Record to Report or General Ledger accounting
• ✓Understand GL processing, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and month-end close support
• ✓Know how to perform balance sheet reconciliations and basic P&L analysis and reporting
• ✓Have basic exposure to fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and variance analysis
• ✓Be proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes
• ✓Communicate clearly and bring a positive attitude toward learning new processes

Nice-To-Haves

• ✓Working knowledge of SAP or BlackLine specifically, beyond general ERP familiarity
• ✓Comfort building PowerPoint presentations for reporting purposes
• ✓Exposure to MS Access or broader query analysis tools
• ✓Any prior exposure to external financial reporting, which would be an added advantage
