This is TCS's dedicated hiring track for non-engineering graduates — commerce, arts, and science students who don't have a BE/BTech but still want into one of India's largest IT and business services companies. Unlike TCS's tech-focused NQT drives, this one's built specifically around Business Processing Services: customer experience delivery, business transformation support, and process-driven client work, not software development. You'll register under the 'BPS' category on TCS's NextStep portal, take a 65-minute aptitude test covering verbal, numerical and logical reasoning, and go through an in-person selection process afterward.
Once selected, expect a genuine trainee role — TCS explicitly states this hiring is only for trainee-level positions, and you'll be assigned to a specific client process during onboarding, which determines your actual day-to-day work and shift timings. Since TCS serves clients operating across time zones, you should go in expecting rotational shifts, including nights, rather than fixed daytime hours.
