This apprenticeship sits inside Volvo Group's Finance function in Bangalore, built to turn recent engineering graduates into work-ready finance and process professionals over a one-year training period. You won't be dropped into live financial decisions on day one. Instead, a training manager guides you through structured, on-the-job learning that covers real finance workflows, reporting cycles, and the tools the team uses daily. Expect a five-day office week, hands-on tasks that build gradually in complexity, and regular check-ins with your mentor to track what you've picked up and what still needs practice.
Early weeks focus on orientation: understanding how the finance team is structured, learning basic reporting and controlling processes, and getting comfortable with workplace norms most fresh graduates haven't faced in a classroom. By months three to six, you'll typically be handling small pieces of real work under supervision, such as data entry, report preparation, or process documentation, while continuing structured skill sessions. This program suits graduates who like learning by doing and can handle repetitive groundwork without losing motivation. It's a poor fit for anyone expecting to lead projects or receive a guaranteed job offer at the end, since completing the apprenticeship carries no placement promise. For those who stick with it, the year becomes a solid stepping stone into entry-level analyst or associate roles in corporate finance, whether at Volvo Group or elsewhere.
